Child Safety
A child safe club
The safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority. The Allansford-Panmure Cricket Club (the Gators) is committed to being a child safe organisation and has zero tolerance for child abuse of any kind.
In an emergency
If a child is in immediate danger, call Victoria Police on 000. After-hours child protection concerns: 13 12 78.
Our commitment
As a Victorian organisation that provides activities for children, the club complies with the 11 Child Safe Standards. We listen to and empower children, involve families, and promote the safety, participation and cultural safety of all children — including Aboriginal children, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and children with a disability.
Under our Constitution, all committee members and anyone in a coaching or team management role must hold a current Working With Children Check, and we encourage every member to hold one.
We love celebrating our players, and we do it safely. Our photos, video and live streaming page sets out how we take and use images of children, and how parents and guardians can give or withdraw consent at any time.
Our Child Safety Officers
Our Child Safety Officers are your first point of contact for any concern about a child’s safety or wellbeing at the club.
- MS Michael “Digger” Smith Child Safety Officer
- JK Jenny Kelly Child Safety Officer
Reach them via apccgators@gmail.com or our Incident & Grievance form.
How to report a concern

2 · Child protection / police
Any adult who reasonably believes a child has been abused should contact Victoria Police, or make a report to Child Protection. See the failure to disclose and failure to protect offences.
3 · At the club
Tell any club official or a Child Safety Officer, or lodge our Incident & Grievance form. We take every concern seriously and handle it confidentially.
Raise a concern with the club
Use our Incident & Grievance form to raise a concern, complaint or grievance. It goes to our Child Safety Officers and is handled confidentially — your contact details are optional. This form is not monitored 24/7: if a child is in immediate danger, call 000.
